Meet Wind Blown

Every piece of jewelry that the Wind Blown team creates takes time, energy, and creativity — it’s not an instantaneous production. Wind Blown itself wasn’t created in an instant, either. Rachel Calhoun, the founder, started making jewelry when she was just 8-years-old. From selling jewelry to her parents’ friends as a young girl to setting up stands outside grocery stores and then moving on to local boutiques, Rachel’s jewelry has been created over time, to last forever.

Wind Blown was launched in Wake Forest, North Carolina, at a pivotal time in Rachel’s life. After a big move, graduation, and marriage, her new husband encouraged her to chase her dreams of launching her very own jewelry company. Soon after, new employees were hired and new product collections were launched as Rachel’s dreams became a reality.

Wind Blown jewelry is inspired by simple lines and shapes. Everything is created from brass gold, which portrays an effortless, minimalist look meant for everyday life. Each piece is hand-crafted, soldered, textured, and forged to create dynamic, timeless jewelry by a team of women committed to excellence, as well as each other. Wind Blown studio is located right outside Raleigh, North Carolina, where timeless pieces are created to help you feel your best, no matter what your day holds.

Meet the Makers

Rachel

Visionary and Founder, owner

Rachel is the creative mind behind Wind Blown. From the time she started the company, she has been crafting Wind Blown — and its jewelry — into something meaningful and purposeful. Originally from Winston Salem, Rachel, her husband William, and their daughter, Hosea, now call Raleigh home. She enjoys the color orange, food (specifically Indian, Thai, and Mexican), coffee, and her community. Her current favorite Wind Blown piece is the Faithful Ring — she wears it stacked with her wedding band and two Worthy Rings. Rachel’s passionate about helping women look and feel their best, empowering them to be everything God created them to be.

Ella
Director of Operations and Customer Experience

Ella is a master gardener, mom of triplets, customer service guru, as well as one of the most welcoming people you could ever meet. She’s the real powerhouse behind Wind Blown because she has her hands involved in each and every project. One of her greatest strengths is turning visions into reality by creating plans and strategies. A problem-solver and creative soul at heart, Ella has a passion to care for customers because of the care she has been shown by her Lord. She is a North Carolinian through and through — in her mind, it’s the absolute most perfect state to live in! Currently, Ella’s favorite Wind Blown piece is the Belong Necklace, but her ring stacks are on her list of favorites, too. You can catch Ella drinking coffee, hanging out with her husband, Chad and triplets, tending to her plant babies (raise your hand all you plant moms!), and enjoying all that God has created.
