Decision Fatigue

Our jewelry is the answer to decision fatigue, seriously. Sometimes the amount of tiny decisions you have to make in a day can be incredibly overwhelming and even anxiety inducing. 

Lately, I find myself going to restaurants and ordering, "Surprise me...seriously. I'll be happy with whatever!" I honestly enjoy my food and my life more when I don’t have to make another decision.

I decided to do a quick google search and see if anyone else has written about this or done any studies. I came across a 2018 study completed by Cornell University concluding that we make 226.7 decisions a day related to food alone. WHATTT!? As the level of your responsibility increases, so does the multitude of choices you have to make. It’s estimated that the average adult makes about 35,000 remotely conscious decisions each day

35,000. Geez.

Jewelry shouldn’t have to be one of those! I think this may contribute to why I have worn my Gentle Hoops every day for the past 9-10 months. While a few of you might think that’s a little crazy, I think it's genius. Why would I not want to choose a piece of jewelry that goes with everything and that I never have to take off? Go to the gym, go to work, hang out with my friends, dinner out with my husband, go back to sleep—it works for ALL of them. 


This is a HUGE part behind why I created Wind Blown Jewelry—and why I continue to keep it going each and every day. There are enough things in life that require our decision making abilities, so let’s make jewelry not one of them, okay?
